I was merely requoting what the witness said in the first instance. There was no attempt to misled or misrepresent the witness or indeed the Part 25 expert. I was aware of what was latterly said from across the pond.

However, the question of bondage, or otherwise, perhaps needs to be considered on an alternate forum as it is clear that there shouldn't be any bondage at all in this instance

I have found these M5 nut plates, they are a bit smaller than the regular tapping plates, but it's given me an idea.

I have found a nice solution.....

Little 3d printed shim to spread the load.



Then a 3d printed bobbin so the sizes all match





This utilises the off the shelf nutplates that are a good chunk cheaper than the tapping plates

Total thickness of the nutplate & shim is 2,25mm
