Hey Paul, apologies for the language, but your comment was pretty personal and directly offensive towards the way I choose to live my life, not really light hearted in any way. Yeah, it's true what you say about not buying an Elan as it does go against my ethics, but I was really just trying to look for a potential solution/option more than anything.

Aye, true enough what you say that it doesn't directly alter the fact that there is/was animal (by)product(s) in the car, and by ripping them out it doesn't change that fact. Generally it is, or would be, hypocritical of me to do that, not really any different from buying a second hand leather jacket or something like that. But, I also believe in not being so strict that it feels like veganism is repressing my life, or enjoyment of life, in any way, and this is the dilema really.

For sure, complete avoidance of all animal suffering is impossible, but the/my ideal is to minimise my direct cause of any... which is why I never sit on those tiger seats in the underground

Aye, it wouldn't really. I guess the only real ethical option would be to buy one with no leather in it (which is probably almost impossible) or to opt for another car.

Everyone else has just been having a normal opinion - which is allowed! I think it is a waste of time just coming on and writing, in a very pc manner: 'everyone is entitled to their own beliefs' or whatever... that's not really contributing anything! Furthermore - in 5 years of Donington's and Stoneleigh's I have never heard an impolite word from any LEC people - everyone is really friendly!
