Chris,
Fair play, i did think you was being a little ambitious when you mentioned a fire, but it sounds like your all sorted....
I know a few anodisers who can do different colours if you interested, also a gold platers for Paul but the handles would need to be made out of brass!
Cheers

Hello Paul
I have done some test melts and there does not seem to be a problem. So I might try and give it a go this weekend (It's trying to find the time to do it

) I'm actually going to attempt to make the door handle you pull to open the door this time round. I'll be in touch re the anodisers though

I'm afraid I haven't done anything about this as yet Gareth sorry. I have been having a major problem with the Elan refusing to start after I reassembled the head. I fixed it yesterday (after two weeks of trying, there was nothing mechanically or electrical wrong with it ) So hopefully I can now concentrate on the ali stuff. Don't worry I'll be in touch as soon as I have results

Any movement on this issue yet? I know Chris had some other pressing priorities but was just curious if this project is advancing at all.......

Afraid there isn't any movement on this project at the moment, I managed to break my hand last month and the Elan has been refusing to pass an MOT. As soon as I have some news I will post on here don't worry

Yes, I'm nagging........................
But, only because what you created and have shown in your pic looks way too nice. Again, I'll say that the door pull and handle (maybe with Darren's CF escutcheon too??

) and possibly seat protectors would look fabulous chromed (can you chrome aluminum???). Any movement on this at all? Pass your MOT??

I had all but forgotten about this, sorry. I made some attepts to cast some handles last year but they didn't turn out that good, and I'm really not getting the time at the moment to go back and revisit this.

That's ok Chris, I've added it to Brian's list of "things we want you to spend your valuable personal time for our own personal pleasure". The door pulls along with door handles and a nice Wilwood rear brake upgrade

I do whatever my Rice Crispies tell me to do
