door trim fasteners

Postby pjw12 » Tue 14.09.2010, 18:00

I ordered some new scrivites (rubber coated door trim nuts that push in to the door) to be told that they have superseeded to some odd plastic clip which really doesnt work... then i got thinking.......

Im going to attempt a retim on the doot cards and was wondering if these could do a job ....

Any elise/elan owners know if these will fit??

Thankyouplease!

Hi Phil,

why would you use these when you don't see them anyway after the retrim? As far as I can see, everything hides under carpet and leather trims.

So although you will get them into the door panels they are way too expensive...

I dont like the way you have to rip the carpet off everytime you need to get in to the door.

My carpets knackered and needs replacmement, going to retrim it and leave the screw holes open for easy access, If these fit it would be perfect to finish it off.

Carbon fibre style trim with those nice shiney screws?

If any ones remotely interested, they do a very good job, the scrivets are smaller than the originals, but if you fit them to the door card, then mount it on the door its all good!
