Noisy heater fan

Postby Lotus54 » Tue 07.02.2012, 01:32

My heater fan started getting really noisy, worse at higher speeds.
Some searches turned up poor heat etc, mentioned a noisy fan and perhaps junk coming in the air inlet.

So I popped off the fan, nice in clean in there..

Spun the fanand it looked great. A closer look revealed a rubber bushing (actually looked like a wellnut) sitting inside.
A turn upside down and it works great!

So I thought to post it, just in case someone has some similar noises.

(just found a strange grommet in the intake of my KTM that I think has been there since new!)
