B post trim

Hi all,

I am now repairing my outriggers but I broke my drivers side B post trim removing it, I didn,t realize there was an hidden screw under the seal at the top of the trim, which is worth remembering if anyone as to remove theirs.
The outcome is I need a new trim panel so if anyone as a good trim panel to sell I would be most grateful.

I guess that there is always Douglas Valley, I wonder what they'd charge? On the other hand I suppose that is what brakers yards are useful for.

Not wishing to hijack Ade's post, but how much would you want for your B-Post trim?
My passenger side got broken when the mechanic removed it to free up the seatbelt mech for its MOT last year.

Remember, there are TWO different versions of B Post trim:
The early type used a cap that has a plastic slider that acts as a hinge and two springs to close it.
The later design used a sprung piano hinge.
Make sure you get the correct version for your car.

I guess it depends on whether Ade wants the b post trim cap (2 types as correctly defined by BCN), or the vertical trim panel.......

The vertical cover ("B" Post Trim Panel in the parts book and Seat belt cover in the workshop manual) are different just like the caps, so you need to get the correct cover so it matches the cap you have.

In light of the feedback and different model specs, could you possible do a photo or two Pete so I can compare?
I think it will be the top end around where the belt comes through that will likely differ.

I shall try to send/post up some pics again later, I've been trying but the system keeps rejecting them due to size (my old phone used to allow me choose the definition prior to taking this cutting edge later phone wont!!!!)

I believe mine is the later version.

Hi all,

I have now located a B post trim panel and it is being sent from Douglas valley spares, they were very helpful, but very expensive. It cost £50+Vat+shipping.
I am glad that it was mentioned that there are two types, if not I would have bought the wrong one, they have both types and the one I need is the later one.

OOf. I've got 4 sets, two per side that I am going to put up for sale. At present I am guesstimating prices, I have a guy going through them all comparing DVB/ebay, DeRoure and SJs and then taking 20% off the average, or you know, working it out to be fair.

I have to say I would have guessed £25 on these, and then discounted LEC 20%. That said, its only pounds and you've got the bit so its no big worry in the great scheme of things.
