Seatbelt receiver

Postby marvic » Sun 18.02.2018, 20:33

I need to replace both seatbelt receivers. Is there anything unique about these opposed to buying something generic of the same length. Are all the buckles the same fitting?

If you have access to a breakers yard you will most certainly be able to find something as good or
better than the originals (applies to a multitude of things on Elan's ! ). The buckles have fitted in
Honda and Mazda seats I my own cars without any issues.

Draw and cut out a template of the buckle and take it with you, compare the size to any you find
that has a suitable receiver, unbolt the receiver, pay a very small fee and head back home, job done ;-) .

Thanks. Good idea on checking the buckle size. I’d not thought of that! I had thought MX5 or similar. Another little project before Spring.
