The seats in my S2 elan are rock hard and not very comfortable. Does anybody know why this could be ? They fee like they have no padding! Thanks

IMO that's how they are! At least that's how they feel when you first sit down...but on a longer journey it turns out they are fine - indeed quite comfortable I think.

Unlike the SE seats the S2 seats have a solid metal plate under the seat which has no “give”also the foam padding will be getting a bit tired and would have lost it’s spring, so look at getting your seats repadded.
The SE seats have wire on the base so has more “give” but will often brake ( normally on one side), the padding will also be older.
