I am a recent new owner. The car is 1992 in Black. The interior has red carpets and trim panels on the doors, the seats are red but not original........I was just wondering what the original colours of the interior wound have been?

Andy Graham at Lotus will tell you how it was when it came out of the factory but there is a fee - check their website.....

They could have been anything from half leather/tartan type cloth to full leather with red, yellow or blue stripes (usually matching door cards)
Carpets could also be specified at new and were usually charcoal grey, red, yellow etc...

And if you would like to replace your non OEM seats with originals from an SE (black) Par (Steven) has some for sale viewtopic.php?f=3&t=28665

Curious if anyone has a photo of the blue trim. I was considering doing that to my Frost Silver car's interior

Mine has blue trim. It is not completely standard as it has been retrimmed and the door pockets are blue as well.

Trim code on vin sticker?
Grey, red or yellow stripe leather or 1/2 fabric grey/blue. Carpets grey or optional red or yellow.
S2 offered coloured leather and piping and coloured hood as options.
Lots of people bought the red or yellow carpets at Donington in about 2006
