Altering the height of the steering wheel???

As the topic suggests, is there any way to raise the steering wheel a bit? Lowering the seats is one option to get a better view of the instruments and centre your view in the middle of the windshield instead of more towards the top. But raising the steering wheel may (also?) be desirable to get the required effect. I recall in the Mark Hughes book that there was no option for steering column adjustments such as tilt and telescopic but I was wondering if someone had permanently altered the steering column angle safely. Thanks!

All M100 u can tilt the steering wheel up and down, but it`s not telescopic. Have a look at u`r owners hand book.

The UK (non-airbag) is adjustable, but the Fed cars with SRS airbag systems are fixed pitched, and don't move in any direction, at least they shouldn't!!!

Hmmm, lower seats, or walk around with weights on your head to shorten your neck, might be other options...

As The Bard has said, all FED models came with non adjustable steering columns due to the airbag wheel. Non adjustable as in no levers or controls to make adjustments by the driver. I was hoping that there might be a way to do it "mechanically" some how with some elbow grease, etc.

I'm thinking that the better way will be to lower the seats anyway.........................

WoW, learn something new everyday. I`d don`t think i would mess with the coloum thou. Like u said best bet is to remove the spacers.
