I do not have a problem supplying just the bushes as it will have an effect on the costs to produce these bushes and it is my intention to make the tooling available to LEC
Monty FYI: Inner bushes around £6.00 each, 4 required a side and £17.00 yoke to TCA 1 per side so total £41.00 per side.

I can get any of the bushes made to the same specification as the original or softer/harder it is the tooling that is the expensive part as the tooling costs are around £750.00 for each type of bush, cost to produce a bush is very low but it is a numbers game for example. 1 bush would cost £752.50 each but 50 cost £17.5each and 100 £10.00 each and so forth but once the tooling is made ........
This is one of the reasons the larger yoke to tca bush is more expensive than the inboard tca to chassis bushes as there are 4 per side of the latter.
This causes a bit of a dilemma as later runs of the bushes do not incur the cost of the tooling but I think that the extra should go to a LEC pot to allow other tools for other bushes or other bits etc to be made.

I am going to make up the prototype arms, left and right over the next couple of weeks or so.
To move this project forward I am going to ask for deposit to help to fund the cost tooling and material as the intial outlay is likley to be in the region of £3000.00. I do not mind covering some of the initial cost but I can not cover it all.
To this end I would ask that those who can confirm their orderand wish to purchase complete wishbones to pay a deposit of £100.00 and those that want just bushes or ball joints pay 50% deposit.

Will start a list in the group buy viewtopic.php?f=85&t=16421 as it will be easier to track and as always I will be keeping a master record in Excel.

Copied from here

idlebanter wrote:Hi Everyone .... could these be a better replacement for the 8 inner wishbone polyflex bushes I purchased in june 09 from South West Lotus ? Or can someone illucidate more to a non techie guy

Reason for this possible dumb ass question is that I fitted 2 new front goodyear tyres 1 month later and having the camber, caster and toe aligned at the same time, only to discover Feb 2010 ,that my 2 front tyres have completly worn out on the inside..t
Took car to the alignment centre this sat where they proceeded to show me that these bushes had "gone" .... :(

Any thoughts,recommendations? :?

A few thoughts Paul,

Who fitted the bushes?

Have you complained to South West Lotus?

Presumably the people at the“alignment centre” are expert in setting camber and caster?

Where did they get the Élan settings from?

Did you take any pictures?
