Its looking that way i must admit, the only benefit i see at the mo for dealing with PNM is to save some dosh, but if they are going to take as long as hi-spec to provide the brakes, we are dealing with another 3rd party just to slow the process down, its very frustrating for me & all the other guys who ordered at donny. Esp seeing that PNM told me they only need hi-spec for the callipers, & that he done his own discs & mounting brackets, but it sounds like this may not be the case..

I wait with Kermit up on axle stands very patiently for some contact from PNM.. Hope they get here before the summer is over...

Update

I emailed pnm, and have recieved a reply---

Hi David,
I am very sorry for the delay in responding to the show orders. At the show we had over ten sets of Hispec calipers all for Esprit applications (only 22mm wide), the elan kits use a different size caliper and we only had one set on display. We are currently waiting delivery of Elan calipers and have processed all the orders from the show and we will send these out soon.We have not processed any credit card transactions and we will not until the kits are ready for delivery. Once again, I am sorry for the delay and I hope to get these kits out asap.
Thanks,
Pete Musgrove

The stock pipes fit the Hi-Spec calipers IIRC.

UPDATE

I couldnt work out how PNM had placed an order with hi-spec, but was going to ask us what we had ordered, that was going to be this week, for the last 4weeks, so i decided to call hi-spec direct & find out if PNM had placed an order for Elan M100 discs pads etc, after a few calls while they checked their files they confirmed that PNM had placed an order for 10 sets of callipers discs pads etc, some 275mm some 285mm, they continued to tell me that these should be sent out to PNM next week so all being well, we should recieve ours shortly after this..

stevie..

I was tempted to post this in one of the historical HiSpec threads but, being as this one's up a running I reckon it's as good a place as any.
I've been struggling to self-source pads for the Billet 4 HiSpec upgrade having originally bought EBC Greens with my kit last year - The calipers are built around old Volvo pads with Girling calipers.
Eventually I was tempted to try and speak to HiSpec themselves (don't let me go off on one here!). Voicemail - no reply. E-mail - no reply, then this morning they answered the phone!
Explained my situation to them and they assure me that they do a full range of pads and compounds to fit these upgrades including: EBC, Ferodo, Mintex, Pagid and Hawk.
They accepted my reservations about doing the EBC Greenstuff repeat order and told me that EBC have brought out a Redstuff Ceramic compound. They were extremely complimentary about its performance from cold to hot and beyond, and being as I'll be doing the odd trackday, I didn't take much convincing that they were the ones for me.

£79 including VAT and carriage.

But less than an hour later I cancelled the HiSpec order because I found them here:

http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/search/default.asp?part=DP3143c&v1=car&t1=&x=55&y=9

For...£56.56 all in.

I did a search for"VOLVO/120/1.8/69-71" and came up with this:

http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/car/parts_pad.asp?part=pad&make=VOLVO&model=120&year=1%2E8+%2869%2D71%29#

If you click on the black&white diagram of the pads you'll see the shape of your new pads that'll fit the HiSpec upgrade.
