Braided Stainless hoses with stainless fittings

Postby bobbrown » Thu 28.05.2009, 11:33

While doing all the brake upgrades I have another source for these hoses and at a lower price.
These are all stainless steel fittings and the company uses nothing but stainless.
These are supplied with the front center mount unlike the Goodridge ones which are supplied with "P" clips which are a pain to fix any where.
I can also get these for the Wilwood upgrades if anyones has gone rusty

The cost should come out at around the £65.00 ish mark including VAT and delivery.

For those in the brake upgrade group buy MK2 then I will adjust the price accordingly and will sort out when they are sent out how much to send back.

So £65.00-ish for a complete set for an S2 Elan, Stock brakes ?

Yep

Stock brakes or Hi-spec upgrade only thing that changes is the banjo bolts as the threads are different.

HI Bob

What length are these as I am fitting Wilwoods to one of my Excels and the current braided hoses are too small to reach the calipers. Also do you do the elbows to convert the calipers?

cheers

Martin

PS I didnt get those seats so I am still looking

On the original front hose the hose is clipped to the upper wishbone.
The goodridge hoses do not have provision for the hose to be clipped in as per the original.
Goodridge supply a P clip for each cable, not sure where you are supposed to put is but it is a pain.

These hoses come with the center mount and follow the same route as the originals.
If I can sort the camera out (faulty card) I will post some pictures of the two side by side.

ah, thanks for the explanation, Bob :)

The center mount seems to be the same like ours :) As the brakelines are unique to the elan and have the same layout, I would guess in genral, they are the same…

The only difference there could be, are the cones of the fittings… Does anyone know, which ones are on the sides?

And the last question: we have a kind of "nose" at the end of the lines. The new ones doesn´t have any… I think they are only for comfortable fastening (?) Does this any other matter if they are absent?

Your hose may have the banjo location on the end of the banjo but I have not seen one on my car.

The fittings on the other end from the caliper which I assume is what you are talking about when you say cones are correct for our fixed pipe work
