Brake calipers

Postby Brianabbot » Fri 27.10.2017, 21:31

Hi, annoyingly my car failed the mot on a seized front calliper so I sent it away to be reconditioned. Stupidly I left the banjo bolt (I think this is the correct term) on the calliper. When I got the calliper back - no bolt. My car has goodridge braided hoses and my lotus supplier said a standard banjo won't fit. I got one from goodridge in the end but the thread is wrong for the calliper. I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether a standard one would fit and whether it's a common part - just so I can get one from a local parts shop.

Any help would be appreciated, I'd really like to get it mot'd asap as I'm missing driving it!

Brian,
The Goodridge hoses need their own banjos. Do you have standard front calipers or replacement HiSpec or Wilwood? They all use differentconnectors.

See some of these threads:

Hi thanks, the calipers are standard, just with braided hoses, I'll get back onto goodridge - maybe they just sent the wrong banjo, thanks for the help

just looking at the goodridge website they do a M10 x 1mm, M10 x 1.25mm and M10 x 1.5mm, Im assuming that the second measurement is the pitch? if so I might just order one of the 1.25 and 1.5mm and see if either fits. I already have the 1mm.
