I knew this would happen! After saying, in reply to Jonathan's post on suspension rebuilds, that I was finding it surprisingly easy - I've found a problem!
How are you supposed to get both nuts off to remove the upper front wishbone arms?
The easiest one has come off, but the other just turns with the whole shaft. I was going to put a locking nut on the free side, but it seems to be an odd thread size and I don't have anything that fits it. I need to do the other side as well, so I guess I'll take one off of there and use that. It just means I cant complete one side at a time, which is how I usually like to do these things!
Or is it a left hand thread?
And while I'm here, any tips on getting the right hand driveshaft off the intermediate shaft whilst it's on the car? I can't get anything on it to lever or tap, the exhaust is in the way. I don't really want to take the intermediate shaft off for a 3rd time!
