As to carriage amount (and "invoices")...

xxxx, I'll let you know after I ship. Only then will I know the exact amount (and be able to give you a tracking number). It will be Thursday or Friday, as I'm literally too busy until then!

-Matt-

P.S. I told Woody not to "post on" until I receive payment from the rabble! (only then will I give out the code which disarms the explosive in the package) :>)

Woody (or direct plea to Dico),

As your now responsible for delivery, can you see if Dico Express can ship mine and Geoff's to the wild west to cut down on delivery costs? I'm in Liverpool for the next few weeks, could collect from Manchester at a push :)

IIRC someone (Dave Eds?) on their travels goes between the East Mids and close to where Gazza works?

Just passing-on a recent experience when I had my car smogged in CA.
The car had been left a long time without running, so the battery was a totally exhausted. With a brand-new main cat and and no pre-cat my car would not pass the smog check, it failed miserably. I believe this was probably due to ECM still being in the 'learning mode'? With a replacement pre-cat, it sailed through. Hopefully, when I fit the PCE I'll have run the car sufficiently for it to be smog-trained and it will pass as others' have who've removed their pre-cats?
Of course, it could be something else, as I wasn't the one working on the car?

Shipping everywhere except the UK (only destination across an ocean) was low cost. However, the only cheaper option was to go with an estimated 30-day delivery via the USPS, with no package tracking possible. I will not ship unless I can track the package.

This was the cheapest of the 3-ways UPS will deliver overseas. It will arrive on Thursday the 24th. I trust this is fast enough for MattDon, who wanted his shipped separately, pronto. His is shipped in the big box along with everyone else. Split 7-ways its $45.16 for each person.

Going back 5-years it cost me $250 to have an exhaust system delivered from SJS. He said it was the cheapest way he could have it delivered unless I wanted to wait over a month.

Keep in mind these are large, heavy boxes. Yours weighs 36lbs and is 2 1/2 feet long.

You can see the tracking number on the receipt. On the customs form I stated it was between Lotus car club members & NOT a commercial transaction.

It's not in the picture but don't forget the 2-packets, one with gaskets & the top (of the PCE) fasteners, the other with the PCE bottom fasteners. Everyone receiving a PCE in the UK opted to receive these, making them easy to distrubute. Ailwyn has the (pictured) bolt kit, inside the box addressed to him. Enright has the longer, no-cat pipe. Woody, you of course have the cat-pipe (it's shorter so the cat fits properly in the space provided for it).

Algirdas, if you want to combine yours & DeanG's, and pay for both, then have Dean pay you should he decide he wants it, that's probably best. However, if you just want to pay for yours at this time that is alright with me as well.

Matt, just want to confirm that between Geoff's bill and mine I owe you 517.69 USD. If so, can you also tell me if the totals you posted included the Paypal fee or should I add it in on top. Just want to be sure. Thanks!

517.69 USD x 4.1% = 538.92 total for you & Geoff. Err, well... corrected by Algirdas below. :( I think I transposed the 8 & 9.

Thanks, Matt

Dear Matt:

Please allow the tax lawyer his due. $517.69/.959=$539.82.

$539.82 x .041=$22.13

$539.82-22.13=$517.69

Yes, I do need a life.

Dear Matt:

I do not wish to belabor the issue, but the way you are calculating the total amount due will leave you short. Since we are doing this stuff for each other out of the generosity of our hearts, we do not need to be generous with our wallets as well. In determining the total amount due from a person, take the subtotal due (being all charges except the paypal fee) and divide it by 1 minus the paypal fee expressed as a decimal (e.g. 1-.041 = .959). The way you are calculating it does not take into account the paypal fee on the paypal fee.

Sincerely,

Algirdas
