Hi Matt! Long after the fact, a few questions:
How hard was it to remove the old liner? Did you remove the bonnet from the car to facilitate or did you do the replacement in situ ? If I recall, the old liner had a foil backing that was grounded to provide EMI/RFI shielding. Does the new one include this as well? I'm thinking it's about time to do this to my car...

Tigerdog, removal was done attached to car, about 1 hour small pieces.
No foil in new unit. Heat does not seam to be an issue at 8 months and 2 autocross days. One of the better cosmetic upgrades I have found.Image

Gareth, Don't quite remember but it was a spray bottle and blow dryer.
Clear plastic and red decal releases from white paper.
Apply clear plastic and red decal to liner as per instructions.
Heat it and it will release.

I sell the the 1/2 inch version on my site for $89.00. The Lotuselancentral discount password gets you a 15% discount on my web site.
FWIW eBay will always be higher since I pay eBay fees of about 15% of the selling price.
The one from LBCC is probably the best buy for basic function and looks.

I've 'inherited' a few of the Lotus decals from the original run (that were in a pile of stuff I got from Paul Watkins) - various colours - so if anyone wants one, let me know and I'll dig out the envelope and see if I have the colour you need.

Ha, what I want is the liner preferably without the decal...
Happy to arrange a group buy, so long as people don't mind my limited ability to do things in a specified timeframe!

Before this gets out of hand (and aware that I don't relly wish to detract from the thrust of the thread, which seems to be Adam organising a new Group Buy for the liners), I'll just say that the logo decals i have ain't in a huge thick envelope - just a few left over from the original run - some of the colours were 'prototype samples' and may not be overly suitable, but they ARE availlable......

I still have the 'fitting' instructions and will provide a copy with each delivery - Please note, that it was originally disclosed that the decals do not stick to the original bonet liners, and I've never tried as i got one of the new ones from the original GB!!!!!

....basically, I have 10 of them, but 2 are spoken for, so that leaves 8 here......

.....still availlable, I have the following, but i am allocating them as I see fit with reference to PM's, emails and posts so far received. Should you not appear on the list, it is because the colour(s) you requested are no longer availlable, or were previously asked for by others - feel free to stick yourself down for a different one if you wish.

Now to the vulgar bit - money!

They were given to me for the benefit of LEC, and - with a duty to steward LEC coffers - I'll be asking for a 'donation' for each item provided, and will leave you to make whatever donation you feel appropriate. That said, they will cost me £1.20 to post, plus the cost of an A4 rigid envelope (so call it a couple of quid expenses).....

...when this project first got off the ground, the logos were availlable from the maker for $10, so a huge donation isn't being sought (and will NOT be disclosed by me anyway!) - so if you still wish to go ahead, just let me know ON THIS POST by copying and pasting the list to keep it current, and then PM your address....

With reference to the above photograph, i will call them (starting on the left, top to bottom) :-

2. Light Yellow - Denny - provisional, if happy with the colour/terms!
3. Gold -
4. Blue -
5. Blue - Allocated (call me gready if you want!!!) - confirmed
6. Silver - Wayne - confirmed
7. Silver -
8. Silver -
9. Red - Dave B - provisional, if happy with the colour/terms!
10. White -

Should you not wish to continue (having seen the picture, or for any other reason) just delete your name and job done!

I broke the outline piece. They are very hard to stick but if you are very, very gentle with a scalpel and cut the backing paper at right angles to the decal you can peel it away without pulling too hard at the decal. Mine is fitted sans outer circle, and I haven't lifted the bonnet as she is sitting under a cover awaiting the next surprise. So yes please, silver please.
