James, I need to swap my unused red kit for a black one (we spoke on this months ago. I'm so faaassst!). By looking at your prices above I should only return the hoses & not the clips, correct? That will also lighten the packages shipped in each direction across the briny blue.

Specky, I'd think a quick look would be all that's required if have both a norma and turbo in hand. I'd also think the hoses would be the same, or at least close enough. You obviously wouldn't use the two small turbo hoses and might need to double-check the ones to the throttle body since they connect to the thermostat housing and that's a bit different on a norma. But what do I know? I don't have a norma close by. :)

I would surmise they are the same as well...

the N/A pipes are now located all over the place...

I could look at the IPC that'd let me know

Well, that was fun - fitting the hoses - 7 hours, including project creep - good piece of kit though,

the only problem is I have a pipe left over which I can't find a home for.

If straightened out it would be around 9 inches long and about as thick as your finger.

It is pipe number 2038 - piccie below.

Any ideas?

It's similar to one of the hoses which sits around the thermostat housing - but I've done all them - part of me thinks it might be round the turbo - but I can't any similar hoses?

It looks a bit like the one that got overlooked first time round, probably because it's hard to see - IIRC its around the top of the plenum chamber and one end is tucked away at the rear.

I'll have a close look in the morning.

Cheers

Looks like the throttle body coolant feed. Take a look at the diagram in section KD of the Service Manual. It's really hard to see and a royal pain the change, if I recall.

Tigerdog I think you might be right, on both counts - throttle body coolant feed and pain to replace - I'll take a look on my next BRG day - (Thurs). Backs still aching from the work so far - trust me to pick yellow - it just looks grubby at the moment  Still, it will clean up.....eventually.

:ladysman:

You are indeed correct it was
1) well hidden
2) plenum chamber to thermostat housing
3) a bit of a swine to replace - but all done

:D Fitted them all today, some of them were tough to get at , but the most anoying thing was
all the hoses with the metal clasps  they were not only hard to get at but a bugger to get off :bonk:
I have very sore fingers
Was it worth all the effort ?
Whilst changinging the hoses I did wonder, but then found quiet a few mainly the smaller hoses that were in need of changing,
so that's a yes
