Steve, Thanks for your offer to get in on your shipment! I'll contact Mr. Cool to get info on the timing and cost of shipping directly to me. As I'm on the West Coast (splitting time between two locations depending on the time of year) the re-shipping cost and time from your location, plus probable additional shipping cost to add to your original shipment will most likely point to a direct shipment - I'll let you know what I find out.

Hi Peter,
We would post through the Royal Mail UK and the cost for shipping to the USA is £85 making a total of £270 The shipping time is quoted at 5 to 7 days. We have the radiators stock and they are ready to ship.

Kindest Regards

Steve: Could you provide the weight and dimensions after packing? I get a decent discount from FedEX and would like to get a price quote. Same for the header tank. Are you going to offer a charge cooler soon?

Steve,
Thanks for the info. Per my prior email I am ready to place an order - can that be done via a confirming email? And as PayPal needs an email address or mobile phone number to direct a payment, should payment be made to info@coolexperts.co.uk ?

Steve,
I just saw your Aug 22, 2012 post on Lotuselan.net:

Ways to pay.
email us and provide your credit or debit card details.
Pay us on PayPal at:
radiator.experts@gmail.com

Could you confirm the PayPal address to use... another question for you or anyone else here with the knowledge: On your website page for earlier series Elans it says "The radiator can be delivered unpainted ready for polishing to a mirror finish or etch primed and painted satin black. Are polishing or etch primed and painted satin black just appearance choices, or do either have any effect on heat dissipation or longevity?

Cheers, Pete

Hi Peter,

I Can confirm that our PayPal email address is radiator.experts@gmail.com but please ensure you pay in £

With regard to the finish of the radiator, polishing the radiator is pure appearance and unlike the early Elan where the radiator is in full view, the M100 is tucked away and no one sees the polishing. The etch prime and black paint does protect the surface of the radiator and science says that mat black rejects more heat than a shinny surface.

Steve

Hello Brit-Car-Nut,

Sorry for the delay. first sign of sunshine in the UK and we run around like headless chickens in our radshop!!!

The sizes of the radiator box are:

33"inches (840mm) x 18" inches (460mm) x 4" inches (100mm) the real weight is 8Lbs / 5Killos.

I have not measured the Header tank box but would expect it to be:

12"inches (305mm) x 12" inches (305mm) x 12" inches (305mm) the real weight is 4.5Lbs / 2Killos.

I would like to look at the turbo aftercooler and if anyone has one that we could copy be it old or new I would
welcome a borrow to copy it.

Regards

Thanks Steve. I hope someone in the UK steps up for the charge cooler. I can send one from the US but the postage would be hard to justify.

Aargh, I had the charge cooler off for 3 weeks. Its just back on. I wouldn't dare remove it again until I had a replacement in place, its shedding fins.

There is definitely room to increase the depth of the cooler. I'd love it to have optional water-cooling so it was optionally an intercooler.

I'd be happy to contribute towards postage costs or put it on my account if BCN has one totally spare.

Any progress with the uprated intercooler, I mentioned it to my son who was really into his Renault 5 GT Turbos (i think the last one had something like 250bhp) he mentioned that one of the first mods was the uprated intercooler, A big front mount obviously better but the other option was a GT Tuning uprated intercooler as a direct replacement, same dimensions but double core

Re the intercooler - I have an aluminium version.

I can confirm that it is possible to increase the size of the matrix in both dimensions to take it out to the edge of the end caps..

On fitting it makes sense to shave a little off the duct to get the full effect.

Sadly I took no pictures at the time and it's buried in the duct now.. :(

Received the Coolexperts radiator today - excellent in all respects :smt023 Radiator weight 5.8 lbs - Excellent design and craftsmanship with the folded aluminum for the end tanks minimizing the need for welds.

Just wanted to endorse Cool Experts' service. I spoke with Steve at 15:30 on a Thursday and the radiator was delivered on Friday at 10:00. Great bit of kit, LEC discount, friendly prompt service - what more could you want?

Hi All

We are committed to attend the kit car show at Donington on the Bank holiday weekend and all our display equipment
will be on show there. However the huge response we have had from the various Lotus forums to display our items at the Lotus festival has persuaded us to take a stand in the trade village at Brands Hatch. We will be taking all of our M100 products to display along with the items that we manufacture for other Lotus models. We will be pleased to help any member of the various forums with information on cooling systems.

Regards
