Today I installed yet another set of Bob's cables in combination with one of Dave's fine short shifts (both old stock people!) It must have been my fifth install of one of these sets.

This one was special though, as I installed them on a very special S2: My own!
4 hours from start till finish and I am finally shifting like a king :-)

As a bonus the weather was fine so I took the car for a nice topless spin...
Man, I love my little m100! :D :burnout:

I never fed back when I fitted these cables and short shift which I did approx 3 years ago 2011 So I thought I'd do it now since they have been in use for a number of years now. They came very well packaged and parts machined well. Fitting was reasonably straight forward with a wee bit fiddling to get them fine tuned to be slick. That was a while ago now been fine until got stuck in 3rd gear one day in the worst rain we had since Noah and the ark. This turned out to be my own fault and one of the outer cable nuts had come loose easy sorted when home.
This has proven to be a true gem of a kit with a slick change. The short shift is well balanced and works nicely The cables are a bit heavier than the originals. I gather I was one of the lucky individuals to get this kit of parts.

Many thanks to Bob for coming to my rescue with these parts.

My similar kits are still available. look at viewtopic.php?f=48&t=22461&start=20#p294451 for the current prices but also read the newer posts to see that the cost of the cables have gone up and I will be paying more for cables when I reorder so the sale price will be going up.
