Morning,
The plan for the Élan is to hill climb and sprint next year once the front brakes and power has been sorted. I am looking at a road going class so a roll bar is not a requirement. However in the interest of staying alive anybody know of any roll bars available?
Thanks
Craig

And here is another which demonstrates just what a "can of worms" it can be!
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=23337(Just typing "rollbar" into the search box above right and clicking "Search" brought it up straight away
)

To date - this is far as i've got - it is a copy using info kindly supplied by the original manufacture ( ok it looks daft but its accurate)
i'm about a yr away from making this - however - TBH its not a big job to build them, if you have access to someone who has a proper pipe bender - once you have the dimensions to work from
The strength is where cost versus weight comes in - at present its looking like x 3 the price for the tube for half the weight
to extend this to the front - using the chassis to subframe / tub mounts would be easy
but if I was serious about this - ref: your hill climbing - I would recommend dropping the chassis so you can
a) fabricate in the centre frame mounts ( maybe add a spreader plate under the main box section
b) check for internal corrosion and then plate up - especially if you go for the front mounts
