I won a gear box on EBAY.
It's done 150k miles.
Can anyone advise me which parts that are available in the June sale list that I should purchase. Then I can get somebody tio rebuild it and install my Quaiffe at the same time.
It seems to be the sensible thing to do but to be honest I haven't got a clue what to buy.

Realistically if you are going to rebuild a gearbox you can not know before you strip it what parts it may need and if you replace bearings you will need to re shim the shafts and may still need even if no bearings are changed due to wear.
The tolerances with the gearbox are quite tight as the shims are in 0.02mm steps
Personally I would leave it as is and just replace the diff with the Quaife one but again you will need to check the diff bearing shims as the bearings are pre loaded and really requires specialised tools and knowledge of this transmission to do the job properly.
There are some 38 shim options for the input shaft, 17 for the output shaft and 24 for the diff.
FYI: I was said there was no know problems with that gearbox.
