middle drive shaft loose

My latest find during restoration project is - the middle drive shaft bearing mount to the back of the engine is loose i.e. there is only one bolt left holding it on - and it has only a few threads left to go: can imagine the damage this could cause if it dropped off
For me - = enough!, i,m not going to push on to get the car back on the road this year, rather - carry on a restoration project - now go get the engine out to gain good chassis access etc..
This latest find is now one too many; nothing i,ve so far found is not fixable; but - if left unobserved or fixed = much bigger trouble
