Uprated Paddel Clutch

If that doesn't work out, Steve, check out Clutch Specialties. They did the uprated pressure plate and six-puck disc that's currently in Smaug. Definitely works out the left leg but doesn't slip and holds nicely on steep uphills at 17PSI boost in 4th.

Thanks but I'm trying to avoid a heavy pressure plate, it's hard to be smooth with a stiff clutch.

One issue with mine I need to address is the cable, even with a stock PP it seems to move half way before
the rubber compress's and the clutch starts to disengage. It must be worse with a stiff plate...

I guess the plan is to remove all the rubber donuts on the cable and replace then with solid spacers.

It's all in the leg muscles, my friend. You may find the lightened flywheel prevents smooth starts more than a stiff clutch. At least that's my experience - it's much easier to stall when trying to start smoothly.

It's not the starting as much as the driving, stiff clutch's are annoying. I really liked the light flywheel in
my last car, it woke it up a good bit.

I'm trying to make a really fast car that is pleasent to drive. Not a really fast car that get's on my last nerve.
It always seems to go that way, the faster the car the less fun it is to drive when not going fast...

I'm looking for an uprated clutch as mine is starting to slip. Does anyone have one that they may consider selling or where is the best place to obtain a performance one?

Mine worked out real nice. It's pretty smooth but with the light flywheel you need
to be careful pulling away from a light. A few more rpm is all you need, once rolling it feels
like a stock clutch SO far it has held a set of slicks and 15-17 pounds of boost.
