CV Boot

Postby Ekapol » Fri 29.09.2006, 21:50

Found a hole around 1 cm. there. I don't know how long I can drive around when thing like this happens before it leads to a bigger case. Mostly freeway driving, daily commute. Will try to get it fixed asap.

I still haven't heard back from SJ Sportscar. Emailed them twice already :?

Please let me know if this one would fit for outter right (closer to the wheel) CV boot.

CV BOOT ??

I have also tried to search for "Speedy Parts" as mentioned in "Parts Cross-reference" section for a CV boot kit for M100 but couldn't find them.

Appreciate your help.

I'm hoping and waiting for some UK chappies to chime in and get you some info and get you a boot sent over.

I think I remember someone specifying a honda boot fit well. The major requirement is the diameters of the two ends to secure the boot properly. Other than that it is just a watertight bag of grease!

search for the honda comment if you have time . . .

enough people have replaced them in the last few years that help should be around.

Ekapol,

About to get my car back, and as I ordered 2 outer boots from the UK I have a spare if you are still in need.

PM me if you're interested. Alternately, Chevy Cavalier from 1990 boots might fit, since mine was a replacement part for a Vauxhall Cavalier...

Cheers,
Ian

[and I'll post the details in the "Cross Ref" soon as I get home and have the details, honest!)
Ford Fiesta Mk2, VW Polo, Golf GTi, Lotus Elan, Honda Accord Coupe V6.

Calypso Red Cali #7683 - Bought at 29,000 miles, and sold at 75,000miles.
