but then I saw that you were just talking about the driveshaft sliding out of the hub carrier. In which case the answer is yes, it's not really a problem. You're best off starting by removing the wheel, un-peining the nut, putting the wheel back on, lowering the car and chocking the wheel, then using a 32mm socket with a big long extension on it.
