I read some of the post on the gearbox and I'm not ruling out that option. Here is my situation. This morning, I was driving on the highway in 5th. I pushed the clutch in, when to downshift, it pulled out of fifth, but wouldn't go into any other gear. So I put it back in fifth, then coasted to a stop. When I stoped, I let the clutch out and it stalled while out of gear. Started it back up, it would go into any gear fine, drove down the road, back into fifth, same thing, It would come out of 5th, but not into any other gear. I tested it this afternoon and I can stay in 1st to 4th shift normally, but when I go into 5th, I have to take it out of fifth, let the clutch out, I noticed that the rpms would increase slight, almost like if the clutch plates were stuck alittle and needed loosen up, then I can shift into any gear with no problems. Also, I noticed that sometimes, if I'm stopped and I put it in first, the car would lock up meaning if I let off the break, the car wouldn't move if I was on a slight hill. I also noticed shifting is alittle harder. Any ideas? clutch cable stuck? maybe gearbox selector?
Thanks,
guilio
