Hi all, my car has a problem with the clutch assembly. The clutch itself works fine but there is a noise coming from the clutch when the pedal is NOT depressed. When I press the pedal, the noise goes. It's a squeal, sounds like the release bearing but I thought this would be a problem when pressing the pedal not when its released.
I have the cable correctly adjusted with a little play at the lever. Any idea?

No a clutch release bearing can be noisy with no pressure on the pedal, will the noise stop with only a small amount of pressure on the pedal ?

Yes it stops with light pressure on the pedal. Is there some kind of fix that does not involve replacement?

Sorry not that I know of if its the bearing which it sounds like it is, its gearbox out new bearing and worth changing the clutch at the same time.
