No mention or pics of the engine, for obvious reasons

What if I'm coming from overseas? I need more video. Now if it had been filmed from inside the vehicle being sold, that would have been kinda impressive.

'Due to arrive Oct 2017' - do you think it's arrived yet ?!

They've clearly employing children to write the advert -
'LQQK at this OMG WOW' - really, I mean seriously ?!

I see that childish, chavvy language in quite a few Ebay adverts

I think his pricing of Elans is a little low - and clearly intended to make his 'for sale' advert look like the bargain that it really isn't (and, as Mark says, hasn't been for the past 2 years!).

Although I have nothing against the Kia Elan at all, as a LHD car it is less apealing in the UK, and I wouldn't like to guess at who would be the best company to insure it (as it was never availlable here as a new car, it would have to be a specialist broker, I suppose).

I really can't see why anyone would rather buy the Kia over a Lotus (in the UK!!) when the prices are so similar.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually.....

He'd be better of aiming it at Europe where LHD prices appear to be a lot higher.

I only clicked on it because I hadn't been in Middlesborough for over 50 years...mostly by choice :D

As for a photo of the engine...

Never did a lotus badge ever get anywhere close to that engine.

Well, it wasn't a Lotus Elan, it was a Kia Elan - I just wish Honda had taken over production, (The HondElan?)_then we would have had a decent selection of available engines. :D

Not to be pedantic but its not an Elan at all, that's just word spam to get hits, its official name is a Kia Vigato and I was amazed to see one here yesterday, in red as i drove by in my Red (real) Elan. The owner has gone out of his way to make it look like a real Elan (all badges, even rear lights!) but i know from seeing it for sale previously that its a Vigato. I am going to try and track him down as it was parked in the driveway of a house under construction to see if he would do a side by side photo shoot.

As a fellow pedant, I agree, I should have typed Kia "Elan".

Still wish Honda had been involved - ideally from the beginning. :D

It took me three years to do 'my' Honda conversion (not a Lotus but it could have passed as one, to the unknowing, he said somewhat mysteriously).

I am a fan of Honda drivetrains. :D
