The time has come for me to part with my Elan. I barely use it and I can no longer get down and do the necessary work myself, also I need the garage as a workshop. I'd rather someone took it on as a project rather than see it broken, and I have no real idea as to what to ask for it. Here are a few positives and negatives.
71,500 miles which seems genuine as I've had the car since 2008
Head gasket done 2015 @ 71,314 miles at Maidstone Sports Cars
Cambelt just about to be done at Maidstone Sports Cars, along with A service and Front rubber spoiler and both headlamp motors renovated.
MOT ran out November 2022
Air-conditioning, probably needs a re-charge
New battery
Battery isolation switch
Soft top cover
Starts on the button
Nearly full tank of E5/Super
Calypso Red and needs a respray, because clearcoat is lifting in odd places
Hood, ideally needs replacing
Hood Frame needs overhaul.
Driver’s window doesn’t rise or fall
MSC have identified work that needs doing for the MOT, these include: track rod ends, steering gaiters, 4 tyres as they are over 10 years old, rear brakes overhauled, driveshaft oil seals
Car is currently located at Maidstone Sports Cars, Headcorn, Kent

Sad news that you feel you need to let it go. Can you not wait until the better weather arrives?
You may well have a change of heart.

Sadly Hector I've got to the point where I need to sell the car. I can no longer do the work myself due to a number of factors, age being one of them!
