Appears to have an analogue clock not a boost gauge, and just Elan on the boot lid (but has had a respray which may account for that) so quite possibly an NA. What it doesn't have is ABS brakes, guaranteed.

Soooooooo, why doesn't someone ask a quesiton about that little issue (and the ABS brakes too) and see if the seller posts the question and answer on his ebay auction page. Might get some eyebrows raised :wink:

And the wing mirrors were originally black. N/a's were not colour coded as standard.

Hi, I don't want to confuse things, or make it difficult, but the car is NOT an SE (Special Equipment), and certainly NOT a turbo.
Perhaps an ammendment to the advert may save anyone getting interested, only to either bid and then retract after the end of the auction, or just discount the car as being 'wrong'.
As you have stated, the NA elan is an often overlooked, capable car in its own right, so there is no need to try and (inadvertantly) pass it off as a turbo.
Also, I think you'll find the BHP figure you've quoted is about 30-40 too optimistic, and is that of a 'standard' turbo.

I too have sent him a couple of pointers.......he did however give me a response and pointed me to LEC.... :)
he seems a reasonable enough guy....just mixed up with facts n stuff... :oops:
