Don't do it Gareth. Some years down the line you will regret it. Particularly when prices have gone up and you can't afford another :?

I know but I'd rather the car went to a good home where it was loved and driven rather than a garage queen that doesn't go anywhere......
It's just wrong to neglect the such a wonderful car......

Hi Gareth,

Sorry to read about the impending decision but, I have to say that if I had the cash, I'd buy it from you (with the hardtop I think you still have!!).

regards

Awwww, sorry to read that!

You need to think the other way round. You cannot get 4 in a single 2-seater indeed.
But you could buy another Elan to add two seats, so you and your wife would drive with a child in each passenger seat! :D

Nick
I doesn't have an MOT at present.......BUT IT WILL.......
I'm planning on getting it sorted in the next few weeks.......
It expired in August and I didn't get chance to do it before putting it to bed for the winter......
Now that spring is sprung it's time to get her out.........
Oh and it's an 'H'......it was April 91
Thanks
Gareth

Gareth,

Have you decided if you want to sell the car. I'm looking for a car with really good paintwork, if yours fits the bill I would be very interested.
Cheers.

its not the storage thats a problem.......its the fact that Im not using it as it should be........
I dont and never did want a garage queen........I wanted a usable car that was stunning....
thats what I got and thats why someone needs to use it.......
the car is well tucked up and has never been left out....its always lived in the garage....but has been used....
my wife is getting all nostalgic about it at the moment so we will see.......

Looks like Elanman has changed his mind about selling this car - Pm'd him last week and asked this question - message disappeared from Outbox same day so must have been sent and received but no response as yet - Fair do's if decision is not to sell but would be helpful to know this :?
