Nice colour. It has passed all its MOT's easily for the past 10 years but needs a cambelt change. It may well have been done at 25K but that was 10 years ago.
My wife's just divorced me because I wouldn't open the car door for her!
To be fair I panicked and swam straight for the surface.

Sounds well cared for and loving kept - worth a look if you like the colour and the distance isn't millions of miles away.
Simon - Black S2.

Thanks, Simon. It's about an hour away, so worth a look. Is the price realistic? I'm still kicking myself for not buying Jim's...

If you are still looking I'd sell mine for that price. Have a look at what I've done to mine to compare.
viewtopic.php?f=49&t=24665Its going in for its MOT on Friday this week. Agreed value from Lotus was updated in April to £15k. You'd be getting an absolute bargain.

Hi all, new member here,
Interested in owning an Elan, just seen the following S2 on Auto Trader.
It's limited edition number 303. Colour Calypso red mileage 60k
Apologies I cannot seem to be able to post a link.
Do any members have any further details on this car by any chance.
I might take a look on Sunday if it still for sale.

Hang on a minute, there's something amiss. I think Clemo has posted an incorrect link ? I think Birdie intends to see car 303 which is the link that Lotusflasherman 33 has posted above. The PM car is no. 079

Lol Rambo - it's Lotusman33 not Lotusflasherman33.
Try adding to the confusion!

Oh aye, you're right again Dave. I think my spellcheck went daft again. How on earth could I get the 2 mixed up ?
Lotusman33 has normal wheels
Lotusflasherman has orange ones

Update
Just spoke the private seller. Car is based in Maidenhead. He has had it for 16 years.
Car serviced by himself, though he is experienced . Cambelt whilst changed only a few thou miles ago it may have been several years ago. All electrics work.
Car has been kept outside. Wishbones are the original ones, though no apparent signs of corrosion.
Just trying to fix up a mutually convenient time for me to look at it.
Given my initial budget, I had expected to be looking at an SE but given how nicely this one appears in photos I am just wondering whether to stretch it somewhat for this S2 that has just come up.
Listed price £7900
Thoughts
Ps it is the Auto Trader link posted by Dave , not the Piston head one
Many thanks

Well worth viewing Birdie as a good price and looks nice in the photos, read the buying guide and view with an open mind.
Good luck and hope it works out well for you.
