Possibly Canadian so does anyone here have any info on this? Just curious, not bidding.

Yeah, been watching this one - Did Elans delivered to Canada have speedometers/odometers calibrated in KM?

It doesn't say there is a reserve, so think hard. A $6,500.00 M100 isn't a common find.

If it doesn't specifically state "no reserve," then it's a reserve auction.

I called a friend at Lotus UK this morning about the provenance. I expect a reply later today. They should be able to tell me which dealer received it and in what country it began it's life.

I wish I had an extra 8K. It is worth more than that as a parts donor.

I was interested in the provenance of this car so I abused my friendship with several people at Lotus UK and called them this morning to ask them to help provide any history or record they have for the advertised VIN.

Their email back to me from Andy Graham, archivist at Lotus UK, states the following:

"Thank you for your enquiry. The theory from some is correct. This is a Canadian 1992 Elan (2nd from last actually so quite a special car).

It went from the (UK) factory to Coiteux Autos LTEE in Canada and they would retain any further history once the car enters Canada. I am sorry but we have no further history."

I will post this in the other section discussing this car as well

Goodyear Eagle GS-D tyres ? Do they still make these, could they be the original tyres?

They are no longer in production. That is the description for the tire used on FED cars in the parts book.

The listing states they are original tires. The date code presented is 4 digits. The code for a 1990 tire is only 3 digits, so also misleading.

I still have two of the original Goodyear tires from my M100 (as well as two old Michelins). I will eventually dig them out and check to see if they are the same.
