'92 Red M100 For Sale in MI

Found this link to a recently advertised M100 for sale just North of Detroit. Drawback for me is that the dash reads in km/hr vs. mph. Maybe someone in Canada might be interested? Priced at $13,990.

VIN is SCC100ZT1NHF56315, so it was built for the Japanese market. 15" wheels, non FED bumpers.

The pictures for this car show something in the engine compartment I haven't seen before. Anyone know what it is?

I talked to the dealer and he told me the aluminum container was a coolant overflow tank. In his photos, the car also looks like it has some type of oil collection cannister which looks to be supported off of a bracket from the valve cover. I did a little more digging on this car and found a video of it made posted by nostalgic Cars of Japan. Supports the earlier post that this is an import from Japan. You can clearly see in the video that the speedo gauge reads only in KPH and I would assume the mileage is also in Kilometers.

This car was brought into the US by Duncan Imports in TN. They had it on eBay for a long time at $19k. Someone in Detroit bought it a few months ago, then had to let it go quickly (also bought a Ferrari or something) and last I saw, their price was $10k. So this dealer probably bought it and is flipping it.

Hello,

I’ve been looking at M100’s and was going to look at this very one a few weeks ago when it was listed on FB marketplace by a private seller, but was unable to get there before he lowered the price and it sold. Certainly seems this dealer bought it and looking to flip it.

I’m fairly new to later Elans and this is the first Japanese spec model I have seen. Aside from smaller wheels, bumper difference, kmh speedo, anything else different for a Japanese spec car? It seems like it has bounced around a lot which is of some concern to me tbh..

Also interesting find on the video hethel

I'm pretty sure that it is an oil catch can. My Elan has got one located there too.
