Ok i`ve booked the trackday, after today it`s £175

1. chris.t - track booked (camping)
2. stevieshag - (camping) you need to book the track
3. Monty- Sat to mon - track booked (camping)
4. Al - Sat to Mon track booked (camping)
5. Nchase - track booked (no camping)
6. Bob.C - track booked (camping ?)

about time this thread came to the top. I will contact the site tomorrow to confirm that we will need about 8 pitches in one area. see if they will mark a site out for us. will let you know the outcome asap.

ok i've booked upto 8 pitches for the 25/26 leaving on the 27th after the trackday. Cost is £6/tent/night for 2 adults. Can you confirm if you are camping please.

Good work chris, here`s the list i`ve got so far. Please amend if it`s not correct.

yep thats the one J - basic but closest to the track.

Last time i stayed there i left the gear at the site while i was at the track. so leave the spare, tool kit, jact etc :twisted:

BTW There`s only 6 places left for the trackday.

Since the booking for the campsite includes the monday is anyone staying the monday night?

If not i may pack up early on the monday morning and take my camping gear to the track so i can head straight off home as it`s a 3 1/2 hour trip :roll:

so does that mean i will only need to pay for 2 days ie £12?

Lets hope August is a better month for the sun :roll:

the site is about 10-15mins from the track. i expect you could leave your gear at the site and retrieve it after the track.

the weather down here is bordering on the ridiculous now - its a perpetual monsoon. just hope it gets better for the track day though

That would mean me driving back to the campsite, pack up tent etc then set off for home. I might aswell pack up in the morning and set of home from the track

It`s a shame there isn`t more members joining us for the camping since the venue is more closer to many of the members, thought there would be more interest.

I hate camping!!!! On the SSSS i didn't realise it but we parked the tent on a slight slope which meant that when i got into my sleeping bag (aka straight jacket) i started to roll down the hill. spent the night clinging onto the side of the air bed. still i won't make the same mistake twice will i :roll:

Getting closer guys make sure the wheel nuts are torqued up correctly :twisted:

It may be better for you to pack up your camping kit after the trackday otherwise you will be packing your gear up really early. We'll need to be at the track for about 8ish for the briefing. It'll take 10-15 mins to get to the track. You do the sums and see what you think.

or i may just pay for the 2 nights and pack up early and then set straight home from the track

any ideas what time u`r thinking of getting to the campsite on the saturday?

probably mid afternoon if everything goes ok. Incidently last time i stayed there they were ok about packing up after the t/day without charging. best thing to do i guess is 'play it by ear' (that famous LEC quotation)
