I have spoken to Lotus on Tracknow. They will be emailing their dates for next year for Bedford in the next few weeks.

I have also spoken to Classicline about LOT events not being necessarily all lotus. They said that as it is not a Club Lotus event they will insure but for a £52.50 additional premium.

If anyone has made any other enquiries about insuring on track could you share your experiences please.

When u say £52.50 is that per trackday or for the year?

LOT is run by Paul Golding who knows me well as he was part of the Kent Lotus crew before starting LOT from Seloc. I am sure that whilst it is a proper business he will be happy to assist us.

I'll keep an eye open for the event as I would love to partake.

With work contract ending, trying to find a new job, building a house and twins expected it's all a bit hectic at the moment. If it's Bedford or south then count me in.

Looks good. I am definately up for it providing I am not on holidays (could rearrange holidays though) As soon as you have a date let me know and it will be booked.
With regards to Insurance I have checked with my insurance Norton Insurance. Tel 0121-2465050). Who confirmed that as long as you are a member of the club who organised it ther is NO additional charge, however the excess increases by £1000. In my case up to £1250. They also stated that a mixed manufacture event would make no difference. The main thing was that if you did have an accident you would have to prove that you were a member of the organising club. Sounds easy! :lol:

The angle i think i should play is that LOT is a club just like CL. However we will have to join at £30!!! so there's no getting round it really.

But don`t forget if u do decide to do a trackday with LoT u still got to join and if u can get the membership down to £20 it`s well worth it.

Those Elise are dam quick round them corners and the track looks spot on for what we need :-D
