Enjoyed the weather, the cars and the company yesterday.

Few Photos of our cars taken by a member of Wessex Car Club - obviously got good taste!

We both enjoyed the morning out, went on for a nice walk and picnic on the beach.

I think the pic taker was in the nice MX-5 parked next to my car

All the best

don't talk about MX5's, I counted over 50 there on Sunday and no, I don't think imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :smt102

I see the MX5 as modern day MGB. Indeed in terms of world sales it has now overtaken the MGB as the best selling sp**rtscar of all time. Furthermore the MK3 which has been around since 2006 bears no resemblance to original Elan.

I agree, in fact i think the mx5 has doubled the mgb production now, which of course makes it a very common car, I just think Goodwood should have restricted the number let in ....
I admit it doesn't look look like an m100, in fact I think it has always been an inferior design to the Lotus and having driven both, I wouldn't swop :D

It's very difficult to rationally knock the MX-5, when my brother-in-law go fed-up with getting soaking wet and knocked off his Yamaha he bought a 2008 2litre for his daily commute. I gave it a good old touse and they go-stop and handle very well, add in a waterproof hood and tremendous build quality and reliability and you have to accept they are a compelling choice .However what you don't get is that almost indifinable "special" feeling of a true thorough bred.
Just a tiny little bit of Colin's DNA surviving down the years :D
