Ok Guys,
Lotus On Track are doing a trip to France sat 5th to mon7th May (bank holiday weekend)
Folembray trackday is on the sunday £80
Abbeville trackday is on the Monday £80
Ferry about £50
Hotel about £25 per night.
+ u`ll have to join LOT £30 (Chris.t might be able to get it for £20)
The only thing is at this point there`s only 9 places Folembray and 13 for the Abbeville.
Nearly 2 years to the day that we last visited Folembray. Always hugely popular with half a dozen previous dates always selling out early, this one being on a bank holiday weekend should be one of the most sought after days of the year especially with a trip to Abbeville on the Bank Hol Monday.
We plan to spend Saturday night in the nearby town of Saint Quentin as on previous trips - it's a great town for a night out.. For Sunday night it's a choice of free beer & bbq on the way back towards Abbeville for the Bank Hol monday - accomodation free for those who want to slum it or put a tent up at Pauls or for others we'd suggest a hotel in St. Pol Ternois (see croix circuit guide) or in Abbeville.
Directions & Accomodation: HERE
Length: 1.274 miles
Noise limit: 98db
Format: open pit lane - limited to just 14 cars on track
Price: £80
Instruction: £10 for 1st or 2nd session booked, £20 for subsequent sessions
Crash Helmets: £20
2nd Drivers: FREE
Channel crossings for approx £50 return from -
http://www.eurotunnel.com or
http://www.speedferries.com the Eurotunnel option is excellent value as it allows you to head out on one day and return the next for £50 and with hotels for about £25 a night for a room it really is the best value track day you can find - track time against £s..

I'm not even a member of LOT yet. I will be doing goodwood this year and hopefully Bedford with you guys. France is a bit too far to go on my limited mileage insurance.
One word of warning about the french tracks, i have heard that the marshalling can be a bit lacking. They might have improved this situation but worth checking.
The other thing is to remember that a track mile is worth ten road miles in terms of wear and tear (well it is for most people anyway). So you will need to revise your maintenance schedules accordingly.
Anyways, sounds like you're eally getting into this (thought you might somehow) and enjoying it. I'll be interested to see how you get on at your next OP outing - loads of vid pls
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Well, had a great weekend.
Got back today and still recovering, Pinky made it back in one piece with no temp problems. Tyres got a battering
I`ve got some video footage but needs to be edited and uploaded, here`s some pic`s for now
s64.photobucket.com/albums/h196/lotusM100/Trackdays/?action=view¤t=1178649086.pbw
Was good to meet Martin (Texas) who was also there in the silver M100, but had engine light problem at the end of the 1st trackday so had to miss the 2nd one. Looks like a CAS problem.
More update soon

Glad you had fun. Did Dico take a cushion or get his teeth shaken out?
Well done.
