I have just bought my first Elan two weeks ago, 1991 in Calypso Red She seems to be in good condition however is running very rich at the moment.
I am based in Scotland, west lothian area and was looking to find out where and when any local meets are as it would be good to see some different cars and owners.
Cheers
Thinking about going tonight, anyone else?

You've not missed much ! Only about a year's worth of free coffee and Boobie's special LOTUS biscuits. They're still not sure about the modern Lotus crowd with their "Japanese" engines ! LOL
We should arrange our own meet somewhere central ie Forth for a

Was thinking of popping along in case there's any Callander Classics chat (and obviously for my free Lotus biscuits

)
As Mark says, not much has changed. I'm up for doing our own 'M100 meet' once I've got my shiny new samco hoses fitted.

What's the betting Booby won't let me in to the car park if I turn up in my white van ? Even if it is sporting an LEC sticker.
Think I might come in the Collapso pink after all - assuming Manor garage have got the slight weep from one of my rear proportioning valves sorted.
Bring on the Lotus biscuits

I'll keep my eye on this thread to see if a M100 meet gets organised as I'd be interested in it.

Clan, you won't be bringing a plastic bodied hillman to the M100 meet ?

Unfortunately I sold the clan a few years ago, it had a full race 998cc engine in it but I couldn't travel three miles in it without it breaking down on me.

So you will never hear me slagging off Lotus reliability.

Mark, whats the geezer all about bringing a yellow VW to our meetings.
Lets get our own tour organised. Boobies newsletter was the usual pish. I am seriously considering resigning from CL and saving myself £25 p.a.

I'm not going on Wed.
Anyone fancy a

at the Hawes Inn, South Queensferry ?
Or are you all staying in and reading about:-

whether you're the next LEC fruitcake

East Mids vs West Mids banter/bullshit

the Crow/Raven/Jay carry on (carrion!)

the next exploits of TrueBlue........
I realise its not too convenient for those out West but perhaps we can find a convenient halfway house some time soon. Or even go for a drive sometime ??

Sound like a good plan Mark.
What time are you gonna be there? Can't go to the CL meet - no Lotus - water pump knackered and I know the trouble I'd be in turning up with anything else!!
Is the Hawes Inn the one under the rail bridge?

Sorry Richy - didn't see this until too late. Didn't come up to S. Queensferry as no one had replied and I didn't fancy supping on my tod. Perhaps we can be more organised next month ?
