Well an interesting trip home what with part of the A31 being closed. It was made even more interesting by the route we'd chosen to avoid the closure also being closed due to a burst water main. We had to stop at a pub to ask the best way to get around all of the closures. If signage was there it wasn't very visible ffs. Jim, Rob, I hope your trips back were less eventful.

Well, at least you got a cheap meal due to the road closures.

No problem at all for me on the way back - in fact there was hardly any traffic and it was a good drive with the roof down..
Maybe see you Mon?
Cheers

Sorry to hear that Martin. Sounds like you and I were the first names on the

Sorry to hear of your angina. Having had an angiogram please be assured it is perfectly fine and nothing to worry about in itself. I ended up having a new heart valve and have made a full recovery. I am back skiing and also doing a lot of cycling.
Good luck with it and if you need any help or advice please ask away.

Martin, sorry to hear your news. Chin up mate I'm sure they will sort you out and you will be back to full health in short order. Puts my trapped nerve in perspective.
Best wishes

Thanks guys - i have heard from a few people who have had it and then on to have Plasty/Stents or valves - and say it was like night and day afterwards
Just can't wait for it to be diagnosed and to get something done - hate being like this

Is there any medication you can take in the interim Martin? I remember my nan had angina and she took pills for it.

I am taking what they have given me and initially it seemed to be making a difference but now it is not having an effect and I am using the Nitro spray more often - but only have to wait until next Tuesday to get conclusive "proof" and then they will diagnose a course of action - Meanwhile I will just have to make the best of it

How's it going?
Anyway a quick post to say I will NOT be along on Wednesday - taking care of overseas visitors instead.
See you in December

Hi Jim
Going well - the drugs are helping - getting more energy and not so knackered all the time - getting better bit by bit - trying to go for a walk most days and the energy levels and breathlessness is getting better
Might be there Wed need to see how things go

Looks unlikely that I will attend on Wednesday
The weather forecast is giving heavy rain with gales along the south coast
As my Elan is tucked up nice and dry in the garage at the moment subjecting it to the salt spray on the ferry and two inches of rain on the way to the pub doesn't appeal much!
Hope its cold and crisp in December

As there are only a couple of maybes and we won't be able to stay late, shall we knock it on the head this month and look forwards to December?

I definitely won't be able to make it, sorry. I think we need to draw a line under the names for the Xmas lunch. Unless there is any objection I'll call the h&c and let them know.
