.

Next meeting at Bo'ness is this Wednesday 14th May.

An improvement in the weather has been ordered. So hopefully we will have a good turnout.

Hope to see some of you there.

Shite  Put key in ignition, fuel pump whirred and then the dreaded click :banghead:

Flat battery  so won't make it to Bo'ness tonight unfortunately. If you're there Alan, and on that fancy phone of yours, could you let Alan Bell know I can make it to Thirlestane if there are any free tickets left. I have sent Nes an e-mail but as yet no reply

PS Not sure why I have a flat battery as I use a trickle charger when parked up so I am ready to :burnout: Perhaps I left one of the doors not quite shut and the interior light was still on :bonk: If only I had got the car out earlier I could have blasted it with a battery charger

Sorry to hear that. It was a great evening for open top driving.

We were outnumbered 3 to 1 by Baby Elans !

We had a new chap there who is looking to buy an M100, so with a bit of luck we might have another owner in Scotland if he can find the right car.

Unfortunately I did not see your post before I left so could not ask about Thirlestane on your behalf.

As far as I am aware there are still spaces available. See you there

I hope to make June meet. Off to Majorca tomorrow, back 9th. Car in garage for brake overhaul, they are having big problems with AP callipers , hopefully they'll get something done when I'm away and not just leave it lying.

Well my Scottish mates. After a lot of soul searching and with a heavy heart I have decided to part with black beastie after 11 yrs of ownership. I've spent a lot of money in past 12 months and there were some big bills on the horizon. Have been looking for an Elise to spec/budget past few months but silly money at the moment, so I've gone down the normal/boring route of trading for an MX5. I can get parts anywhere and its not always a panic getting onto SJ Sportscars when one thing after another fails.

I will still be on here from time to time and i'm a lifelong Club Lotus member so I will still be about. Hoping to get an Elise in maybe 18 months.

As for the MX5 its a 2.0L Coupe, colour is similar to Silk Red and if you squint your eyes looks a bit like a baby Elan FHC except bigger....much bigger

Happy motoring chaps.

ps; Bobby Dickson also has a MX5 Coupe so now there will be 2 at Bo'ness ; )
