If there is no interest I'll give it a miss this month.

Dave you have got to be kidding, at this rate you'll be able to take the ferry to the front door of the H&C.
For some reason I'm not getting email notifications for this thread anymore so haven't been noticing the activity. The check box is checked, I've just checked! I will hopefully be along all being well; I think this is the first one this year, H&C must have thought we've buggered off somewhere else.

Well, that went well (!)
They are completely full apart from 2 seats.
We can rendezvous there and move on - I'm looking at options..

OK, here's the thing.
I propose we move to The George - at Butts Road Alton GU34 1LH.
They have car parks and can cope with 10 people. There were nearer pubs to H+C but they are also busy..
Jen and I will go to the H+C to round up waifs and strays who do not read this message.
I'll PM the regulars, too.
Post on here if you read this. Tks

OK, from the PMs and this post - everyone has been notified and responded apart from Nickydee
It'll be a right pain if I have to go to H+C just to let him know. Does anyone have a phone number or email address for him???

Have we kicked the H&C into touch then. Shall we try somewhere else - perhaps a little more centralised location for the regulars?? Must admit I'm getting a little tired of the place.
btw I know a good little pub near Loxwood.

..well that's a thought. There was another pub nearer Farnham I would have suggested, but they were almost full the same night as our last meeting.
The challenge with us 'northerners' is that we would have to negotiate Guildford..
Any other ideas, people?

There's the Sheppard and Flock at Farnham - might be worth a try.

The Woolpack in Elstead was a nice place when I last went there (a very long time ago!). It would be good to get the views of our most "extreme southerner" Daveiow, as he has by far the longest journey. The Woolpack looks like the same journey time from the IOW as the H&C.
