What a disappointing twist to an otherwise great day. My first Elan gathering was highly enjoyable. Even the weather smiled on us.

I hope you are ok and get the car back soon. I hope the other car is registered & insured correctly although, from what you have said, I have my doubts as well.

Chris,

Sorry to hear your bad news..

Not all N reg volvo estate drivers are inconsiderate..

Hope you get him...

Try a few internet searches... insurance... RAC... they may turn up a few results for that number plate...

I'll have a little look on the T5 forum..

Sorry to hear the news Chris. I nearly had a woman (yacking to her passenger for 2 miles) in a Volvo take the side of the Elan out last week when she suddenly realised she needed to change lanes. It's a stressful world out there when you drive something rare.

It's a shame you don't know any friendly plods on the forum who might help you track them down. :poke:

Nice pics Nob and Joss. 8)

Shame about that pink one parked next to the BRG - sure I've seen it on LEC once or twice before

Good day out - thanks Tour Guide Carl the Josler for sorting this one. :smt038

Even spotted a Gold Leaf "wannabe MR2" Elise on the A1 after you turned off Joss - you must have seen it on the Southbound carriageway.

Chris,

Sorry to hear about the car. Still you should have covered the "threes" rule now.

My brother had a similar drive off incident (but he was parked on the side of the road at the time), gave car details etc and the other guy actually went to the police himself after some hours (no doubt after sobering up a bit), plods were f*****g useless, as usual, and going they were basically saying they couldn't be arsed to prosecute - best not spoil the tea break with petty little requests like law enforcement
