There lies your problem.

Gary tried to arrange this in E.Mids/E.Anglia & it never happened...so some of us from the S just carried on with our curries anyway. If some of cannot make it, then there will always be a next time.

Alternatively, get an Elan with a prototype upgrade to turn up. People will come

In order to avoid any confusion, I have temporarily locked the duplicate thread (this one) until this event is concluded.

At that point, it may well be beneficial to merge the two threads with a suitable title (if it going to be a regular meet) in this board heading.

Do you ever get the feeling that everyone is out to get you!!

HHMMM...
As I said on the original thread...I wanted to do a separate post with a clear title to find out who is around in this area....it is confusing and not relevant to put it on the same post, Admin..if you don't want it then delete it..but please don't just leave it locked in Limbo land....it makes it look as though we have even less support fort any meetings as no one can now add there names.

AH well mice and men and all that.!

At least it amused Dico.

I wish I'd kept me nose out now

If i'd left it alone, it would be my fault if everyone got confused, and if i'd merged the threads I'd have lost some of the posts along the way....

I'm not playing at Deiety, or saying that Mikey's thread is any less worthy (anyone who is bothered to get things sorted deserves as much support as is possible), and I will remove any lock as soon as it is unlikely to cause any confusion with 2 similar threads....

....of course, I stand by my earlier post and invite contact if anyone so wishes (or anyone else can unlock it if they want).....

...but at the moment, I stand by my decision (and wait to be shot for putting my head above the parrapet)

It's no problem mate.

It's just that there are now at least 8 Elan owners within a few miles of each other that I though we might try and get together and indeed build upon.

There is obviously interest in this from speaking to these individuals over the last few months. And I thought the best thing to do is not let others in the area feel left out, So giving them the opportunity to stand up and be counted! might add a few more to "Norleg"

Mikey,

I should be free the weekend of the 6th as I'm off work the following week. So if that's when you're planning we will hopefully be joining you (funerals, weddings, hangover etc allowing).

Are you thinking of the 6th, and where? The 'thread locking' incident has confused me a little.

Fantastic mate..I am pleased you are coming along, I have taken the liberty of putting you on the list.

The other thread was just to get a list of Local members together to see if it was viable to do regular meets.

This is the meeting point at the moment....

Doesn't look like I can get away with that now though. :|

I'll bring along those "Hood Protection Pads" you asked for.

I'll also bring some additional ones, just in case anybody else would like a set.
