Ok I'll admit there was a typo above. I meant to say "one" (referring to the thread) rather than "ones" (which could have inferred the people), so I'll apologise for how that might have been misconstrued.

For the record: I've got nothing against the people who frequent the meetings.
I'm always happy to share my limited experience and information (if it helps).
Even to the point of inviting people - including Paul - round to my house for "car surgery", or on occasion driving many miles to sort out problems.
That POV is not about to change, and here's hoping it continues to be appreciated.
If it's not then I'm under no illusions that LEC will continue to function quite happily after I've done as was suggested and "pissed off elsewhere".

Also for the record: I'm not averse to the odd bit of banter and mucking about, as long as it doesn't bring LEC or Lotus into disrepute, (which this doesn't do anyway), and try to balance the content of my contributions accordingly.

But this thread has grown to 22 pages since March.
That is getting on for 500 posts, which is a LOT!
There certainly haven't been 500 meetings, and it seems to be way more banter than constructive arrangements, so it makes it difficult to find useful information amongst all the throwaway comments.
Is that harsh or realistic?
Striking fear into the hearts of duplicate posts everywhere...! :P

BCingU,
Neil ;-)

Neil,
I certainly don't have a problem with your POV. Think Paul must have just had a bad day - and be rattled 'cos he can't attend the meeting tomorrow.

Gary

ps. I'll book a table today/tomorrow

You mean healthy banter :?: :?:

:offtopic:

:smt080

I am tempted by this. 9pm is very manageable for me too.
I am a probably but not 100% certain at the moment.

When do you need a definite answer by?

From There.

Thought you meant 9pm, but apparently you mean table for 9 people at 7pm.

I will not be back from work in time to get to Peterbourough for 7, so count me out of this one. I hope you all have a good evening.

Never mind, I am sure there will be a next time.
