No, no, you're quite right Dave, I think we should have a bit of a do. I tried to raise the seeds of interest a couple of years ago but, as the Bible says, 'they fell on stoney ground'

As for hijacking the WMidlands Dec meet I'm up for that, hopefully it will be on Thursday 11 December (as I'm at Chrissy Hynde in Wolverhampton on the Friday) which makes my life easier! Hint Hint

As far as I am concerned you are very welcome to crash the West Mids Dec meet: can't speak for everyone else, but I might assume they are not xenophobes.
I might even crash yours if you decide on one and its accessible ie my side or east of Bristol!

Dec 11th sounds a good date as I will be away ski-ing the following week (probably)

According to your thread, the West Mids meets are on the 3rd Thursday of the month...... (even though John can't make the 3rd Thursday)

...OUR meeting just happens to be in the same place, but on the 2nd Thursday....

Mr Orton, I appologise - obviously I missed that bit of a post stating that you were officially moving dates.

It appears that the premises will be double-booked, so to avoid any organizational problems, I suggest that we BOLLECKS step backwards (as it is your official 2nd Thursday), and we'll allow you to make contact with the premises to see if we need to book (as it's coming up Christmas), and then arrange a suitable time

As to 'other halves' attending, that is a matter for yourselves (Angie works on a thursday evening anyway), so I wouldn't worry either way....
