planning to be there,
not sure if bringing the elan or not. I think the cooling issue is solved but havent driven the car for a while so cant be sure

[Fredjohn]

It's our meeting this Thursday 16th. Should be there provided my finger sticks itself back together.

Who else can make it?

[Tuga2112]

I should attend this week as well, the Elan is currently decommissioned with a head gasket leaking, so I'll have to take my trusty Japanese toy instead

[maz_r]

Me too.

I am remiss in NOT asking you all about the Xmas get together. Can we agree a date/time tonight and book it?

Last time we met, it seemed that a weekend evening might be best, so bear that in mind

Cheers

Martin.

[Fredjohn]

Especially as Dave has to travel from far West Walesland.

Early thoughts : can't do 3rd and 24th is probably too late, so that leaves 10th and 17th, or Saturdays 2,9,16.

See you later

Yup. See Beyond, over there? That's Daves new house just round the back of it

[dapinky]

Actually, my new house is just here, over there.

As I am not in a possition to definitely say that we'll attend, I'll take a step backwards, allow the majority to choose a date, and if we can make it, I'll join the inevitable list, like.

XMAS DINNER

We've selected Sat 16th Dec 19.00hrs for this years Xmas dinner at the Coach & Horses Weatheroak.

Go to Xmas dinner menu to make your selection.

Booked so far (to my knowledge)

John O
Martin
Joa
Pete

All +1.

Please add your name if you wish to come.

Martin: can you let us all know when the pub require our menu selections please.

This Xmas get together will replace this month's usual Thursday evening meet.

Hope to see as many as can make it.

[maz_r]

Thank you John,

It was on my list of things to do, honest!

We have booked 10 places and have got 8 names so far (deposits paid), so who is having our 2 remaining places...?

We need to let them know by the end of the week. If you would all be kind enough to note your menu choice here, I’ll phone it through.

Thanks,

Martin

[maz_r]

Bumpity-bump

Does anyone want to claim our 2 free spaces?

Please let me have your orders ASAP as they are chasing me now. If I don’t hear from you, you are going to get something random which I shall pick

[Fredjohn]

Martin:
Our selection as follows:

Grace (2)
Salmon
Lamb

John (3)
Salmon
Turkey
Xmas Pud

Still 2 places spare. Any takers? (John??? Dave???)

[dapinky]

Unfortunately, a Saturday evening isn't ideal for us - staying over isn't an option as Angie still has to work Sunday mornings on the run up to Christmas.

Have a good meal, and I will return (in the words of Douglas McArthur....stolen by Arnie, in The Terminator) next year.

That's almost a fair enough reason.......but still sending Angie out to work???????? Even Grace is giving up work at Easter

Merry Xmas to you both hope it's a good one in your new home.

.......but still sending Angie out to work????????......

She's only a youngster - still needs to do 18 months of NI contributions to qualify for a full state pension

Apologies fellas, my mind been busy with a recent Job Interview i had and ended up forgetting this celebration. When i got to my phone and saw the reminder was already past 10PM, so a bit too late to make an appearance.
