Thanks guys, nice to meet up for a chat, beer and food was great.
Journey home was as interrupted as is becoming the norm but managed to get to within 6miles of Chippenham before she spluttered to a halt, 10 seconds rest and she fired up and took me to the Services (amazing my bladder made it that far), no probs on the final 5miles! Will start checking fuel system tomorrow!

Good to meet up again and nice that the meeting wasn't hijacked by some out-of-town reprobates.

I did think about driving down, but instead spent the day replacing the perished elastic tensioners on the hood.
Made 2 clamps for rear fitting from 6mm "key steel", 2 new buckle like fittings for the front and drilled/tapped the 2 hood hoops to take M4 bolts to hold the elastic on there instead of the original rivets.
Hope you had a good time: maybe next month or maybe BOLLECKS can find the Midlands meet again........

How about where we met last time (Salutation) - nice garden (if it's dry), nice inside (if it's wet). And this time perhaps we'll get an Icecream - before they lock the doors!!!
Oh, 12:30 to 1:00?
Pete

Oi Smiffy - don't leap in here like you've sorted it all out
Time will obviously depend on location (up to a point) - but assuming the plan is for lunch, I'd say 1300 hours.

Just to finalise the plan....
Friday Lunch.
I'll be at The Salutation for just before 1300.
Geoff will turn up about quater past.
Pete could arrive anytime - but has no breakdowns to use as an excuse.
We will try and eat quickly enough to get an Ice Cream!
Oh, and obviously, anyone else is welcome to join us.

Well I was thinking Pete could chose somewhere closer to him so I'd have a good excuse for being late....

ARSE!
I forgot I've got to be at my mother's doctor's in Coalpit Heath at 14:40. I haven't been out that way for some time and there are some mixed reviews, but what about somewhere in Pucklechurch (Star), Codrington (Wishing Well previously Codrington Arms), Bull at Hinton or Ye Olde Inn at Westerleigh?
