Club Lotus has set up a new area for NE Scotland. The Area Organiser is John Walsh (jwl344 AT aol DOT com in case anybody needs to get in touch).

The first meeting was in November in a pub, but the first outing was today along Deeside. The weather was great and the roads were super. Strangely quiet, but that was good for us. There seems to be a flu bug going around Aberdeen at the moment, as three people called off sick, but the rest of us had a good day out.

We drove along the South Deeside road, visiting the Bridge of Feugh and Balmoral, then back via Gairnshiel Lodge for lunch, then Strathdon and ended at the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford. It was good to see Archie and Justine, and they not only put on a fine lunch, but also (as herself is not in residence at the moment) organised it so that we could drive right up to Balmoral and park outside the front door (connections, you see). Thanks, Arch. And to Colin who organised the trip.
